Research Interests
Multimodal Machine Learning
I believe a necessary ability for machines to achieve human-level understanding about the world is to process various modalities simultaneously. Currently I am a member at the PALM Lab directed by Prof. Chen Sun, working on video understanding and video-language models. Previously, I was advised by Prof. Hang Zhao at MARS Lab.
Sports Analytics
In the past, I also did research in sports analytics. I spent my last undergraduate year working with Prof. Shaoliang Zhang in deep learning methods for team sports analytics. The increasing amount of event and tracking data about team sports allows deep learning to be applied in this field. It is my belief that advanced deep learning methods will help improve team sports tactics in a way hard for human to discover.
